Chapter Five

Creative Process Made Simple

If you stand back and consider the creative process in simple terms, you will notice it starts with the general and moves to specific. For instance, in building a house we start by thinking about what kind of house we want. We start with vague ideas and end with an honest-to-god house with squirrels running across the roof.

Creation starts with ideas and ends with mass. It starts with the infinite and ends with the finite. You could say the creative process is like an inverted pyramid. But really there is more to it than that.

The full creative process forms a circle.
