The Parallels of Life and ArtI hope this has expanded your understanding of the subject of creation. But dear reader, we’re not done yet.
Naturally you remember how this chain reaction started. I had learned about a certain philosophic machine that a certain modern day philosopher had discovered and used to identify the parts of life?
I had learned of life’s 8 parts years ago. And the knowledge gave me a greater appreciation for the universe we live in. But I still didn’t understand scriptwriting... until I realized that a script, was in fact its own little universe.
I then knew that scriptwriting, as life itself, had 8 basic parts.
So now, how about I relate these parts as they apply to life itself? Just so you can see where all this came from and moreover so you can use it to improve your own life. Again, this is not my discovery. I am only relating to you what you are free to learn about yourself in more detail. The parts are simply stated. But there is always power in simplicity.
There are 8 basic parts of life and together these embrace all of life. These parts are more correctly called “dynamics” because each one has to do with a great deal of life activity. Starting at 8 we can count down to 1 progressing from the most ethereal to the finite:
8. First there is existence of the infinite. Here is the existence of the Supreme Being, the perfection of God and perhaps religions. Since the symbol for infinity is the number 8 turned on its side, we can well call this the 8th dynamic.
7. In the realm of thought and logic, we have the human spirit, spiritual life or spiritual beings. Are you a physical being having a spiritual experience? Or are you a spiritual being having a human experience? Most people believe they are a spiritual being having a human experience. So there is the world of the spirit, and the spirit exists and lives in the universe of thought. The urge to exist through or as a spiritual entity is the 7th dynamic.
6. Life itself requires a playing field and we have a rather large one. The material universe is composed of matter, energy, space and time. That is our world and so we have a 6th dynamic. We explore distant planets and unknown places. We watch storms from space and study the cycles of the earth. We build buildings and divert rivers and build sea walls to keep out ocean waves.
5. Unlike some planets and moons devoid of life our world is a plethora of animals and plants, flora and fauna. From the virus to the viceroy, this is the realm of living creatures animated by life and called the 5th dynamic. Some people are very strong on the 5th dynamic. Organizations such as the Humane Society are rooted strongly in the 5th dynamic.
4. This 4th dynamic is the realm where we unify all the parts of the whole, and so for us, this could mean species. Not to risk of being sexist, but just for a lack of a better term, we can call the 4th dynamic the urge to survive or exist as mankind. An odd thing about our world is that many people have a low urge to survive as mankind. Human beings take little pride in their existence as mankind. This seems to be gradually improving, especially with events such as the Olympics, and as world-embracive efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and to preserve our world. But when you look out upon the world, it is striking what pride you can feel for Earth, considering that there is virtually no culture that has failed to bring something to civilization’s table. Some cultures bring music. Some bring styles. Some bring engineering. Some bring culinary creations. Together we are an amazing race and there is every reason to feel pride as a member of the human race.
3. The 3rd dynamic is the realm of organization and therefore groups. Mankind as a whole is grouped into nations, races and cultures. Every person has their circle of friends, their clubs and organizations to which they belong or support. The company where you work is a group. The army and navies of the world are subsets of the human race. Your local team is a group. What groups do you identify with? What teams are “yours”? 2. The 2nd dynamic is the level of creativity applied to being human, and that means reproduction. Here is the family unit, sexual activity, and home cooking. Here perhaps is art. Here is what’s hot and what’s not, from clothing styles to architectural wonders of the modern and ancient world.
1. The 1st dynamic is the realm of self or more precisely, of your body. The human body is itself a symbol, because like a chess piece, it has mass, meaning and mobility. The eternal part of the inner you, the part the philosophers talk about in their books, that is not part of the universe per se, but something superior that lies beyond. The human body is representative of that part of you, the inner part of you. Your 1st dynamic therefore includes your body form, your personality, the way you dress and all the accouterments of self and the trappings of who you are: beggar, lawyer, thief, queen or king.
